It is very gratifying to hear that 8.2.1 is being well-received!

The Mac versions were shipped to SSP members at the same time as the other platforms (some time last week). If you're expecting one and you haven't received it within a few days, you should probably call your sales representative to find out what happened to your shipment.

Christina,

If I look at "Current Versions" of software at ni.com, I see "LabVIEW Version 8.2.1 for Windows 2000/Vista x64/Vista x86/XP" but no corresponding listing for the current versions for linux or Mac OS X. The runtime software does not list 8.2.1 for any platform even though it has shipped the 8.2.1 runtime for most platforms with the current new release of VISA.

If I search for 'labview 8.2.1 "mac os x" ', at ni.com I get nothing. The link you have for compatibility fixes etc. only discusses windows and not linux mac version.

I would like to echo Tomi's quote about appreciating the large number of fixes and problem resolutions in 8.2.1. I think it is probably the most ambitious point release that NI has done and expect it to be one of the most robust releases.

sth,

I looked around ni.com and I agree the 8.2.1 info is thin. I'll send your comments to our web team and hopefully get that resolved.

But I know R&D handed off the Mac version of 8.2.1 at the same time as the Windows version, and my contacts in Marketing assured me that the Mac CDs were already shipping.

Thanks!
Christina
